• Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth by Shelby Eastern Schools along with state and federal regulations pertaining to school/technology issues.
  • Ensure computer and related equipment in the district is working properly and perform or arrange for    appropriate maintenance if needed
  • Troubleshoot problems with computers and other technology equipment; assist users with full utilization of available hardware and software
  • Install, test and troubleshoot workstations, laptops, Chromebooks, printers and approved software applications
  • Work with other technology staff to manage and maintain building wiring closets, including cleanliness, labeling and cable management
  • Work with technology staff to maintain optimal network performance and security. 
  • Promote a positive and professional image of the department and District at all times
  • Cooperate and coordinate with other members of the technology program
  • Perform other related duties as may be requested by the Director of Technology, Building Principal or Superintendent
  • Provide first-response technical support, including testing and troubleshooting workstations, laptops, printers, and peripherals; contacting Tier 2/3 or vendor support as required
  • Maintain personal and professional technology skills, keeping current with industry trends and bringing that knowledge forward for the good of the organization
  • Help manage and coordinate online testing
  • Manage and maintain accurate building technology inventory records and counts
  • Develop a strong sense of trust among end-users
  • Participate in meetings as required, offering insight and direction to people’s use of technology as it relates to the District’s Technology Plan
  • Cooperate and coordinate with other members of the technology program
